IIIF Compatible

Exhibit is compatible with IIIF (International Image Interoperability Framework). It is built using the Universal Viewer, a leading IIIF viewer supported by a steering group comprising major cultural heritage institutions including the British Library, National Library of Wales, National Library of Scotland, Princeton, and the University of St Andrews. Images and 3D models need to be IIIF compatible to be used in exhibits. We can help you with this.

IIIF Compatible

High Resolution Zoomable Images

Exhibit supports high resolution images up to thousands of pixels on each side. Using IIIF, images are broken into tiles, which enables browsers to efficiently load only the data needed to display a given zoom level. The end result is fast image loading and deep zoom functionality.

3D

Exhibit supports 3D models in glb format via IIIF. Zoom and rotate objects to comment on a particular viewpoint, or create pinpoint annotations by double clicking on the object.

Easy-to-use editor

Exhibit's easy-to-use editor means anyone can create their own exhibits via the browser. Create quizzes, kiosks, slide presentations, or scrolling stories using templates.
